The Elementary Title I Reading Paraprofessional works under the supervision of the Pre K-5 Department Head for Literacy and the Title I Reading Teacher and in collaboration with teachers, Elementary Literacy Specialists, and the Title I Building Principals to actualize the district vision of academic excellence for all students by supporting direct, targeted reading instruction and assessment for students who have been identified through a universal screening process for reading. The goal of the position is to support the delivery of highly effective, supplemental reading instruction for Title I students in order to ensure that their academic reading achievement meets reading benchmarks according to universal screening and benchmark assessments.This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, the Department Head of PreK-5 Literacy and the Building Principals of the Title I School.
