Reports to:      High School Administration

 

Parking Lot/Traffic Duties

 

  • Conduct Parking Lottery with Administrators, collect and catalog dues from students
  • Issue parking fines, collect fines from students
  • Issue Staff Parking Passes
  • Monitor Parking Lot, work with Town Departments and Custodial staff to ensure a safe and well maintained lot
  • Direct and monitor traffic flow for morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up
  • Traffic and parking liaison for both school and non-school events (athletics, performing arts, outside rentals, etc.)

 

 

School Security/Operational Duties

 

  • Monitor and maintain cameras throughout the building, watch video footage to determine any type of loss and vandalism
  • Work with Security Camera vendors and Town Departments for regular maintenance and updates for cameras and doors
  • Assign Door lock/unlock schedules
  • Issue and replace staff security tags/keycards
  • Coordinate with Administration, Staff, Police, Fire, and Town services in order to maintain a safe and secure school, ( Alice Training )
  • Roll Call and liaison with Police for Radio Protocol and use
  • Communicate and collaborate with Custodial and Kitchen Staff to maintain a clean and orderly building and grounds
  • Distribute paperwork initiated from house and main office suites to faculty, staff and students.
  • Conduct investigations for lost/stolen items, investigate student related issues (bullying, student conflicts, etc.)
  • Work with Administration for disciplinary action (issue detentions and delivering detention slips, oversee detention and maintain order)
  • Work with administration and students to schedule and maintain a record of attendance for detention, as well as keep track of detention absences and report them to school administration
  • Sign out students from building, monitor school and grounds to ensure enforcement of school rules and policies
  • Monitor Cafeteria during breakfast, lunch, and after school. Coordinate with faculty and administration for staff duties. Pick up trash in said areas
  • Assist in conducting drug/contraband searches of building and students with Administration
  • Locate students and usher them to where they are suppose to be during the school day
  • Develop a working relationship with student body. Help develop and ensure a positive school community in lines with Wellesley High codes of conduct and core values
  • Assist students in crisis and direct them to necessary school resources
  • Take part in Crisis Team, Police, District Attorney-School meetings, communicate with administration and guidance staff in order to ensure student safety
  • Substitute for teachers in classes and directed research periods when needed
  • Assist in graduation set-up, Security at graduation ceremony, Senior activities (Snr picnic, field day, etc)
  • Corroborate library sign in sheets with Directed Research Sign out sheets, ensuring teachers and library staff are notified about discrepancies
  • Maintain communications with parents regarding their students obligations
  • Advise and educate faculty, staff, and parents as to the latest trends in student behavior and drug/alcohol use
